Following the announcement at the end of July, FPDC Council Members have agreed the new membership criteria.

The criteria came into effect on the 1st January 2008 for all existing and new contractor members. The increased criterion covers all the basic legal requirements for a trading company but also includes the HSE's core competence, detailed in the new CDM regulations, together with a basic requirement to demonstrate technical competence.

There is a one page form that you are required to return on an annual basis and an accompanying detailed guidance note. There are also a number of supporting guidance notes to help you put in place anything you do not already have to ensure that you can comply. Having a stricter criterion in place will help the Federation promote the specification of FPDC contractor members.
