Paul Jessop has been appointed as the new chief executive of FPDC and starts on the 7th January 2009. With experience of both not for profit membership organisations and commercial businesses, Paul will make an excellent contribution to the growth and development of FPDC as we celebrate our 20th year.At the last Council meeting it was also agreed to suspend any further talks of merging with AIS at this current time. The almost unanimous view of the contractor members was that the diversity of membership already represented by FPDC would not be better served through a merged organisation. Looking to the future there was a review of the organisations governance structure and a decision taken to streamline existing arrangements to ensure FPDC remains efficient. In addition it was agreed to invest in a membership executive early in the New Year, who will be focused on recruiting to ensure membership grows in the future. There will be further information about forward plans early in the New Year.Thank you for your support over the last year, from everybody at FPDC, we looking forward to working with you in 2009.
