Plaisterers' Awards 2009 Winners

FPDC’s high profile industry event, the Plaisterers’ Awards took place on Tuesday, 2nd February 2010 at Plaisterers’ Hall, London.

The Awards recognises the best work from within plastering, drylining and associated trades and entry is open to any company involved in a building project.

All entrants benefit from being associated with the prestige and standing of the Plaisterers’ Awards, however winning establishes the company as a major player in the sector, creating numerous PR opportunities.

There were nine winners;

• Winner of Fibrous & GRG Heritage was George Jackson & Sons Ltd for a private residence in London.
• Winner of Fibrous & GRG New Build was P K Donovan & Sons Plastering Specialists for Crosby Hall, London.
• Winner of Internal Plastering Winner was Ornate Interiors Ltd for The Haymarket Hub, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
• Winner of External Plastering was Heathfield Specialist Finishes & Coatings Ltd for Brooklyn House, Dorset.
• Winner of Technical Screeding was WK Plasterers Ltd for the New Primary Care Centre, Porth.
• Winner of Drylining Contract Under £1M was GHT Plastering Services Ltd for Colston Hall, Bristol.
• Winner of Drylining Contract Over £1M was Horbury Building Systems Ltd for Walsall College.
• Winner of Technical Ceilings was David Andrews Construction Ltd for V&A Museum, London.
• Winner of Technical Steel Framed Systems was R&S Driwall Ltd for The Bridge Academy, Hackney.

Despite a difficult year, the event received sponsorship from many of top industry players including Catnic, CCF, CPD, GPDA, Hilti, Minster, Nevill Long, On Center Software, The Plaisterers’ Company and SIG and was well attended by over 300 guests representing contractors, architects, manufacturers and distributors.
