Hand-Arm Vibration Guides

FPDC have worked with tool manufacturer Hilti, and tool supplier VJT to create two separate reference guides for contractors that use their power tools on a regular basis.

The two documents give guidance on the safe number of installed fixings or holes that can be completed in one working day without exceeding the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005.

The guides give details of HAVS and its symptoms, as well as advising contractors on how the risks can be reduced without sacrificing productivity.
