Technical Support
In addition to telephone advice, FPDC offers its members a FREE dispute resolution service. If workmanship advice or site inspections are required, the FPDC technical support service will inspect the work and provide you with an impartial written report. These FREE site visits are an invaluable service provided to members. No other association offers this service FREE to members (starts from £1,500 for non-members)!

Contracts Advice
Stop before signing! FPDC's professional legal advisers are on hand to help minimise the risks of entering one-sided contracts. Practical advice from qualified experts is offered to members through a FREE telephone consultation service.
Employment
The Business Support Helpline provides free advice and support to Contractor Members for all matters relating to the complex area of industrial relations and employment law, to ensure you act legally and limit your liability.
You will have access to a FREE telephone service that can be backed up in writing for members.
Health And Safety
FPDC provides members with updated advice on a range of health and safety issues including risk assessments, legal requirements, manual handling, accidents and reporting, and contractor management, as well as a range of other sector specific issues. FPDC also offers members a FREE Health and Safety check-up to ensure your procedures are current.
Environmental Matters
Environmental management and sustainability have become increasing concerns for the construction industry with many main contractors requiring appropriate documentation to be submitted at tender stage. FPDC has a wealth of expertise gained in the plastering and drywall sector to assist members in this area.
Training Services
As well as discounted training seminars and courses, FPDC offers members FREE one-to-one advice on all training related matters, including:

Regular newsletters and bulletins containing sector specific information are sent to members via email.
Marketing And Events
Spec Finish - Specialist Building Finishes magazine
FPDC’s own magazine publishes 6 issues a year and has a circulation of 5,500 including main contractors, specialist contractors, architects, manufacturers, distributors and merchants.
Members are encouraged to send press releases and profiles of contracts completed to the editor. Editorial content is independent of FPDC and aims to reflect a balanced view, representative of the sector.
FREE Website listing
The FPDC Website contains a directory of all current members with a link to their own websites. Since 1 January 2011, the FPDC website has had 17,550 visitors, with over 6000 searching for a Specialist Contractor. What a fantastic FREE advertising opportunity!

Yellow Pages

Special Events
The FPDC 20th Anniversary Ball in 2008 was a great success, bringing together contractors, distributors, manufacturers and other key players in the sector. Due to requests from members, FPDC now have an Annual Ball, the most recent of which took place on Friday 21 October 2011 at the Plaisterers' Hall in London.
Regional Seminars
Topical and informative, these seminars are an opportunity to hear from pertinent speakers on relevant issues, meet FPDC staff and network with fellow contractors.
FPDC Plaisterers' Awards
The Plaisterers' Awards encompassing the Plaisterers’ Trophy, one of the oldest industry awards, rewards the highest standards of skill and excellence in plastering and associated trades.
