The prestigious Plaisterers Trophy, an award which recognises craftsmanship and skill in the art of plastering and excellence in drywall design and installation, has been won by Sheffield-based specialist contractor, Troika Contracting, for the work it carried out on the redevelopment of Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield.The Plaisterers Trophy 2007 was presented to Troika Contracting by polar explorer, Lewis Pugh, and Mat McAdams, President of the Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors (FPDC) at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Plaisterers Hall in the City of London yesterday.Mat McAdams said: “Troika’s work at the Meadowhall redevelopment was perfectly executed, innovative and unique. Strong working relationships were formed with other trades onsite which, teamed with rigorous pre-planning and attention to detail, meant the project was delivered on time and to an extremely high standard.”The Plaisterers Trophy is organised by the FPDC with the support of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers.
